The Toyoda G3 loom, introduced over 50 years ago, is a rare machine producing unique, rough-textured denim with even yarn and ruggedness. Maintenance is challenging due to parts' unavailability and low productivity, weaving only 5 meters of fabric per hour. Yet, select Japanese brands preserve the G3 loom legacy, creating original denim of unparalleled quality and texture.
The slim straight silhouette features a mid-rise waist, offering a classic and versatile fit. Additional highlights include original brand-engraved iron buttons, copper rivets, a back pocket green tab, and a premium copper zipper made in the USA — all representing superior quality and meticulous attention to detail. A custom patch, cut from premium heavyweight cowhide leather, is specially stitched onto the jeans post one-wash process, at Redcast Heritage's request, ensuring the finest appearance.
The FOB F147 tends to run slightly small in many of its sizes. In general, we recommend choosing one size larger than your usual, as is common with many Japanese one-wash models. However, as always, we recommend checking the size chart first to find your perfect size. It is unsanforized but one washed, so there will be no shrinkage.
